Nixon requires that you mail service in your sentry to get the band replaced, just they may or may not exist able to provide a replacement. If, for whatsoever reason, you wish to replace the band of your Nixon 42-20 yourself, move down to Step i.

Prepare your supplies. Yous will demand the following:
- Clean, dry, soft work surface.
- one-2 small flat-head screwdrivers such as eyeglass screwdrivers.
- Replacement 20-21mm watch band, for instance, a Shinola 20mm Black Rubber Strap.

Notice the screw on either end of each lug (top and lesser). Only i of these screws can actually turn - the other has a set pivot attached to it, preventing it from rotating whatever more than a small amount. Looking at the face of the watch, the fixed screws are the ii at the upper left (eleven o'clock) and lower right (5 o'clock). The screws you lot want to plow are the other 2, at the upper right (1 o'clock) and lower left (vii o'clock).

Turn the screwdriver with steady but firm pressure, being conscientious not to skid and scratch the case, or strip the screws. It may help to steady the other screw with a 2nd screwdriver, but it shouldn't be required since it is secured by a set up pin.
- The screw you remove will be short; the rest of the lug spiral is one long piece with a matching screw head that has a small set pin attached to information technology.

Gear up aside both pairs of screws after removing them from both lugs.

Take care to call up which side of the lug has the ready pin. Start with the one-half of the replacement band that has the buckle. If your band has a complimentary loop (free band), remember to slide it onto the buckle before attaching it. Position the buckle half of the band in place at the top lug (the one near 12 o'clock), and attach it past threading i of the long stock-still screw pins through the end of the band which should have an opening for information technology.

Have a screwdriver and gently turn the lug spiral until the prepare pivot drops into place.

Have a matching small screw and finish attaching the band at the other side of the lug.

Repeat this process for the other one-half of the replacement lookout ring and you are washed!
